Show your love for local at Green Point Market this September

This September, celebrate all things local with the return of the Green Point Market!

Set to take place every Sunday between 08:00 and 17:00 at the DHL Stadium’s P4 parking lot on Vlei Road, the market will feature a mix of fashion, food and entertainment, all set against a truly Capetonian backdrop.

‘The Green Point Market coincides perfectly with Tourism Month and will be an ideal opportunity for visitors and locals alike to treat themselves to something delicious, funky and authentically Capetonian. For traders, many of whom know the location well due to trading there before this stadium was built, this market is an opportunity to expand their client base and engage new customers,’ said Alderman James Vos, the Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.

‘For me, markets like these capture the heartbeat of Cape Town, they’re where small businesses thrive, creativity shines, and our communities come together. Every stall tells a story of local talent and determination, and by showing up, we’re not just shopping, we’re supporting livelihoods and growing our economy,’ added Alderman Vos.

Green Point Market details:

• When: Every Sunday in September from 08:00 to 17:00

• Where: DHL Stadium’s P4 parking lot at 127 Vlei Road, Green Point

• Parking: Free limited parking is available at P6 parking lot. There is also additional paid parking at the DHL Stadium on non-event days.

Currently, the market cannot operate on days when major events are taking place at the stadium. The City is working closely with all concerned partners to get the Green Point Market running as often and regularly as possible. Dates for the market beyond September will be communicated by the City as soon as possible.
